Seismograf 77’ Exhibition - MOCR
SEISMOGRAPH ’77 refers to the Ceausist period between 1977 and 1989, characterized by shortages and repression. The seismograph marks the portraits and stories of people who fought a personal war with the communist regime, but also of those who were protected by the dictatorship, as main or secondary actors in the party and state control apparatus. Those who visit the exhibition can listen, for the first time, to the voice of the engineer Gheorghe Ursu, the dissident who came into the sights of the Security after drawing attention to the fact that, just four months after the great earthquake, Nicolae Ceaușescu gave an order to stop all the strengthening of the buildings affected by earthquake. This exhibition is meant to explain, but also to ask questions. The museum installation is a complex one, designed to provide visual discomfort.
Each project starts with a concept, a story, an identity.
URBISON Design & Technology is a Romanian group of professionals engaged in interconnected areas such as architecture, object design, urban design, interior, branding, research, technology.
The aesthetic layer is just the final finishing stage of the design process. First, a functional foundation is established and then a technical solution is proposed. But all these aspects will mandatory be creatively and conceptually synthesized by a thorough study of the social, cultural, psychological and anthropological climate.
Therefore, also considering up-to-date technologies and the economic context, limitations of any kind resulting from the design brief are transformed into benefits for each project.
